About Us

I Am Mom Strong: Building strength in all stages of motherhood.

I Am Mom Strong was created by Alysha Buehler, MSAT, LAT, ATC.

"I have always been into health and fitness my entire life, but when I found out I was pregnant with my first child I found myself clueless. I knew nothing about pre-natal fitness and when I would bring it up to my doctor I was encouraged to only do the bare minimum. After my son was born I then realized that I also knew nothing about postnatal fitness: just the generalized, 'don't workout till you have been cleared at your 6-week checkup'.

It wasn't until I was pregnant with my second child that I really began to educate myself in the world of pre and postnatal fitness, diastasis recti, and pelvic floor health. Thats when I learned that there is so much that general OBGYNs  are not educating women on. At this point I really starting diving into my social media to help spread the information I was learning. It wasn't too much longer until  I found myself continuously educating new moms on different exercises they could do during the different stages of pregnancy and also during the first couple weeks postpartum. There were even veteran moms asking me questions about pelvic floor health, common aches/ pains that they were experiencing, along with general fitness and dietary questions.

It was through sharing my experiences and education on social media that I realized the need for a health and fitness platform dedicated to moms in all stages of motherhood. And that is when I decided to create, I Am Mom Strong."
